My Beautiful BRIDE!!!

Sc0053e712

Today is our 12 Year Anniversary!!!  Time has flown by!!  It seems like just a few years ago we were working on getting our 1st house decorated and painted.  Now here we are in SC with a 5 year old...sitting in our rocking chairs in the back yard....

For those of you who don't know Tracy, she has a heart of gold, a smile that makes me melt and eyes that sparkle......  I like to call her my "TROPHY WIFE" !!   Thank goodness she settled for less when she choose me!!  :)

Our anniversary dinner consisted of PF Changs followed by going to Frankies Fun Park to play Putt Putt Golf..... (I won!!) Then to McDonalds to get some ice cream.....Owen was with us, so we celebrated our anniversary family style!!

Tracy, you are, and will always be, the light of my life!!  See ya in Hawaii in 3 years!!

PS: Isn't it great that I can write this mushy stuff and post it all over the internet for hundreds of people to see??   Yeah, you're worth it!!

Twitter.....My new found enjoyment

Some may say that I have this thing called an obsession for blogging.....I would have to agree in some small way.  However I do know that I could post alot more on here if it were really that bad of an obsession.  BUT...recently, I'm not sure if you have noticed or not, but on the left side of the screen, is TWITTER. Twitter is a way for me to add some of the things I am doing, seeing etc throughout the day to the blog without going and signing on everytime...It's to easy to do and the best part... it's free!!!  The other best part is....you can actually subscribe to my twitter account and get updates everytime something is posted via your cell phone, email etc... How cool is that!!!??!?!  (Thank you to the two of you who just said YEAH!!)  It's really just a way for Tracy to track me throughout the day....

In other news.....

We went to the Cubs vs Braves last night in the big ATL...or the dirty ATL as I like to call it.....Game was GREAT!!  CUBS WON!  I had the announcer of all announcers sitting behind us. On my left was the statistician scoring the game play by play.  We were in the 12th row behind the CUBS dugout. We never even had to get up for food....we would order from an attendant, the order would be placed via some little device and then a runner would magically bring it forward to us....AWESOME!!!  These were the tickets that my managers had gotten for my birthday this year.  Very nice of them!! Thanks!!

Upon returning to SC this morning, we arrived back in town just in time to go do the MEET THE TEACHER THING at Owen's school.  He starts on Tuesday next week...I took the day off to give Tracy some support, or was it so I could get support from Tracy??  :)  Maybe it goes both ways....  All week long we have been working with Owen on keeping his shirt on......I can see it now, he's going to come in from recess and he will whip his shirt off and throw it on the floor not even thinking....  :)  At least he'll be tan.

Saturday we are going to a book sale in downtown Greenville....then maybe to the pool for some R&R before school kicks into full gear.

We'll let you know if anything more unfolds over the wekend...until then...FOLLOW US ON TWITTER!!!!

Twitter ya later!!

Weekend Recap

So we started off a new week today.....Here is the run down from over the weekend

1. I think I finally got over my almost getting killed for wearing the wrong colors on the Clemson University Campus late Saturday night...

2. Went to the mall and bought a really neat ORANGE Tiger Paw Tie.....I won't make that mistake again..

3. The caffeine crave finally got to me....I caved and had a pepsi over the weekend....but it was only one!!!  I am used to 5-7 per day....I have come a long way.....I must say though, when I took that first sip...I heard music playing, birds chirping and...well you get the picture..

4. We also went to the outlet mall in Gaffney SC....Owen and I went to the arcade while mom shopped a bit...I told Owen he could spend some money to play some games....you know the ticket giving games...and as luck would have it the little tike hit the jackpot on the ball drop....370 tickets later we're standing at the prize counter picking out stretchy hand cuffs, a model airplane and a whistle.....Jackpot!!

5. We also managed to wrap up Owens Back to School items shopping.....Here is what the kitchen table looked like.....

He's in KINDERGARTEN for crying out loud!!  Does he really need all this stuff?  Will it all get used?  Lost?  Stolen?  Who knows....but we did our part for the classroom....He is excited for school, but still doesn't quite understand....

6. We have been glued to the OLYMPICS, watching the swimming mostly....AWESOME!!  Loved the opening ceremonies.....

7. Just a few days way from going to see the CUBS and the Braves play.....I bought anew player shirt, so I don't get ridiculed like I did in Milwaukee....How was I to know that you shouldn't wear a jersey of a former cub player?  Sheesh!!

More later as it unfolds.....

Not one of my Brightest Moves........

Here is how today unfolded.....

I get up, knowing that I have a lunch to go to at Clemson University.  It was their corporate sponsor appreciation lunch.  I got to meet "The Coach" Tommy Bowden..... He is a very dynamic speaker.  Of course when you are in the spotlight like he is all the time it tends to come naturally....

For those of you who don't know, Clemson Football is like another religion here....People are crazy about their Tigers!!  I can see why though....Here are a few pics of where I ate today....Pretty awesome place to eat I must say....

Of Course, I had to take a picture of my name on the scoreboard!!  It will never be there ever again, I'm sure....I also got to tour the locker room.....

There was only one problem....Notice on the picture, the guy in the middle, he is a USC Gamecock. The in state rivalry team....It's like the Hawks versus the Cyclones....oil and water....Guess what color of shirt I wore to work with my black suit today???   Umm, yep...I wore CRIMSON RED!!!

I realized my blunder when I was talking to the President and CIO of Clemson University....I couldn't help but wonder why everyone was looking at me....DUH!!!

I couldn't text message Tracy fast enough. It went something like this, "Why the heaven did you let me leave the house with USC colors on?!"  She of course replies back with.."Hee Hee!!"

Let's just say my saving grace was that everyone could tell from my "accent" that I was not from around here......I feel so stupid!!!   But hey, have a laugh on me....

Here are a few more pics of the stadium
